3 Steps to a Daily Time with God

A Daily time with God can change your life, relationships, and your future. Here are three simple steps to have a transformative daily time with God.

1. Find a Place & Time

The first to do is find a comfortable, quiet space where you won’t get distracted. Using the same space every day helps keep your mind focused because you know exactly where to go.

As for time, most people prefer in the morning. If that doesn’t work, try your lunch break or later at night once the kiddos are all in bed. The most important thing with time is to start where you are, not where you think you should be. It doesn’t have to be long — five to ten minutes at most.

2. Develop a Reading Plan

There are countless bible reading plans on the internet or The Bible App. You can choose any plan from The Bible in One Year, or anxiety, leadership, or marriage. The plan will take you through verses related to the topic and you will learn what God’s word has to say about it.

If you don’t like plans, just pick a book in The Bible and read a chapter a day. (Ephesians or Matthew is a great place to start)

3. Pray

Use the last couple of minutes available and pray. Thank him for your life, your kids, your marriage (or your future marriage.) If you are dealing with stress or business or anxiety, let God in on those feelings. When you talk to God like never before, you open up a door for Him to talk to you like never before.
